Webinar Reminder – Wednesday April 17, 11:30 a.m. CDT

How to Keep from Losing Your Assets…, Carolyn Jasiulewicz, Progressive System Solutions

Tracking assets can be a time consuming and frustrating process, if it is done outside of Dynamics SL. How much time is spent on the following: Computing and tracking depreciation? Maintaining a list of assets for tangible tax for state required reports? Tracking capital purchases? Recording asset depreciation to a project or job? Recording asset purchase transactions from Accounts Payable or Purchasing? Tying asset related transactions to the GL for reconciliation? If you have been asking these questions and would like some answers on a way to do this within Dynamics SL, join us for this webinar presented by Carolyn Jasiulewicz of Progressive System Solutions. This session explores the benefits of tracking assets. Carolyn can answer your fixed assets questions and show a product that will put you on the road to tracking assets within Dynamics SL.

Due to overwhelming popularity and positive feedback, the 2013 agenda will once again feature premium sessions. Premium sessions are additional learning opportunities and are not included in the normal registration fees. The sessions will run on Wednesday. Prices and detailed class descriptions are as follows:

Nuts and Bolts for AdministrationSeptember 18, 2013 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($450):

In this Premium session, discover what any new professional needs to know about SL in order to get a jump start on successfully administering an SL environment. Glean tips and tricks from the experts! In this Nuts and Bolts style session, we will cover what a typical Dynamics SL installation looks like and the tools for troubleshooting. Understand what customization options exist, from reporting to screen customizations and how to find them. Develop an understanding of how access rights, groups, and menuing work to better manage users rights and the role tailored experience. We will also cover data import options as well as a number of other concepts to make you a successful SL Administrator.

Nuts and Bolts for FinancialsSeptember 18, 2013 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($450):

Have you ever wanted to “look under the hood” at how Dynamics transaction processing really works? Do you know what tables and fields are affected when batches are released and then posted in general ledger? Understanding how transactions really work means a greater understanding of how to write queries, reports, and troubleshoot problems. We will be using Payables, Receivables, and General Ledger as examples as well as looking at tools to help you figure out which tables and fields a SQL update really affects.

Nuts and Bolts for ProjectSeptember 18, 2013 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM ($450):

As another chapter of the Nuts and Bolts Premium Series, we examine the Project Modules under a database administrator’s microscope. We explore the underlying data structures of Project Controller, Allocator, and Time & Expenses modules, deconstruct processes, and detail where integration touch points are with other SL Modules. Once complete with this premium class, you will have a much better idea of how the project series really works and speed your ability to write better queries, reports, and troubleshoot problems.

Nuts and Bolts for DistributionSeptember 18, 2013 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM ($450):

Join instructor Gail Jones Nemeth as she presents a detailed look “under the hood” at the Dynamics SL Distribution modules. This follow up session to the highly successful “Nuts and Bolts for Financials” continues the series with a detailed look at Sales Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory quantity tracking, and Inventory Costing. The class focuses on analyzing data structures, process flows, and integration with various modules to enhance your reporting and troubleshooting skills, and significantly deepen your understanding of how Distribution works.

Nuts and Bolts for CustomizationSeptember 18, 2013 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($450):

The Nuts & Bolts of Customization Manager Premium session will address a wide spectrum of the topics and issues related to Customization Manager in Dynamic SL. We will be covering the basics of what it is, what it does and doesn’t do and some of the simple but very powerful things almost anyone can do with it. We will also be digging way down deep into exactly where and how customizations are stored with lots of great tips and tricks both “official” and “unofficial” for how to leverage that knowledge to better manage your customizations (NOTE! If you’ve been through or plan to go through a Dynamics SL upgrade on a system with customizations, we think you’ll be particularly interested in this part!). Finally, you’ll see some more sophisticated customizations that show ways you can automate Dynamics SL to make your users more productive.

So in short…. You learn 1) What is it? 2) How do I manage it effectively? 3) What can it “really” do? It should be fun and we look forward to seeing you there!

Nuts and Bolts for Field ServiceSeptember 18, 2013 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM ($450):

This is a continuing chapter of the Nuts and Bolts Premium series; in this series we will take a look under the covers at the Field Service modules from a database administrator’s perspective. The underlying data structures will be examined for: Service Dispatch, Service Contracts, and Equipment Maintenance modules. Additionally, processes will be deconstructed for the service call lifecycle, service call billing, contract administration, contract accrual and revenue recognition, contract billing, and preventative maintenance scheduling for equipment. We will also review in detail the integration points to other SL modules like Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Projects, Purchasing, and General Ledger. After this class you will be better prepared to implement, administer, customize and write reports and queries for the Field Service modules.

Management Reporter: Installing it, migrating to it, and living with it – September 18, 2013 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM ($450):
Are you ready to move to Management Reporter 2012? Not sure where to start? This class will cover the installation and migration process – step by step, review key maintenance and data cleanup in FRx to prepare for the migration process, and help to understand what to expect post migration. Once you get those reports running, you will need to know how to run and enhance your reports in MR – and we’ll cover that, too.

More Premium Sessions to come! Check back often to see the latest additions.
