Microsoft has announced a one-time exception to their 5+5 product support lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 which is scheduled to reach end of mainstream support on 10/12/2012. Normally a product expiring before year end would not receive year end updates. This is where the exception comes into play.
The Microsoft Dynamics SL 2012 Year End updates will be released for the following versions:
- 7.0 Service Pack 3
- 7.0 Service Pack 4
- 2011
- 2011 Service Pack 1
The 2012 Year End updates for Microsoft Dynamics SL will be made available in the fourth quarter of 2012. The updates will include changes for 1099 and W-2 reporting to comply with 2012 tax year regulations.
