Are your users receiving Crystal errors and Assertion failures when printing certain Crystal Reports to their printer?  Can they print preview the reports without error?  Have you installed the HP Universal Printer driver on their workstations?

The HP Universal Printer drivers are great but when you have the printer specific driver installed at the same time you can encounter errors.  We have recently encountered an installation with both the Universal and Printer specific drivers installed.

The Universal Printer driver was set as the Windows Default printer but the default printer in Dynamics SL was set to the Printer specific driver.  When the user would attempt to print reports with pre and post processes they would encounter a variety of errors from Windows errors to Crystal errors to Assertions failures.  Setting the “Use Windows Default Printer” option in Dynamics SL pointed the printing to the Universal Printer driver and resolved the issue.
