SITUATION

Great Commission Publications (GCP) is a non-profit organization founded in 1975 by the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church in America. GCP produces Sunday school curriculum for its core founders, other denominations, and families. GCP has approximately 15 employees and $2.5 – $3 million in annual revenue.

GCP faced significant challenges with the Élan Book Solution database system (by MSGL): “It was developed primarily for book publishers; it was very outdated and clunky.”

SOLUTION

GCP knew they could find a better ERP system, so they researched options. “We looked at all of the ERP providers,” Jerry Wallace of GCP says, including “NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft, maybe four or five others.”

When they discovered Acumatica Cloud ERP, “It seemed like it fit everything we would need or might even imagine ourselves doing in the future.” He adds, “I went out and talked with two or three Acumatica Cloud ERP users; I asked if it was robust enough. They laughed and said they weren’t using 10% of what it’s capable of doing.”
