Microsoft has announced the planned release of SL 2011 R2. Details are to be provided during Convergence 2012 in Houston, Texas. Microsoft has also announced that details of SL 2011 R2 and future releases will be addressed in an updated Statement of Direction for Microsoft Dynamics SL which will be available in Q1 for 2012.
