Just recently I encountered a customer that was receiving a System Message 7011 when printing certain standard reports written using Crystal Reports.

The Microsoft Knowledgebase listed several potential resolutions for resolving a System Message 7011 from modifying the DEP settings to manually registering the capicom.dll.  All of these are resolutions I have successfully used in the past to resolve this type of issue.  None of these resolutions seemed to work for this brand new HP workstation.

We set the output to file and the reports ran perfectly so I was immediately suspect of the printer drivers.  Installing an updated HP printer driver resolved the issue.

Sometimes it pays to keep it simple.
