NIST (US National Institute for Standards and Technology) has released a cloud computing roadmap in an effort to provide guidance and understanding of cloud standards and categories of cloud services that can be used by the US government.
These documents will be incorporated into the NIST U.S. Government Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap which is expected to be released in November 2011. You can find the original post here on the NIST web site.
